The journal is led by editors who are full-time faculty members from the College of Education and Health Professions. Additionally, the journal is governed by an editorial board made up of faculty from each department within the college. Reviewers include the editorial board members as well as other interested faculty from the college. All submitted manuscripts are blindly reviewed by a minimum of two reviewers, and the editors make final decisions regarding publication based on the reviewers' feedback.
Perspectives in Learning was first published in Spring 2000 to publish scholarly contributions from graduate and undergraduate students in collaboration with faculty, peers, and community partners. The journal was intended to highlight the best academic efforts in research and educational leadership through involvement in formal and informal inquiry activities. The original Staff Editorial Board included Dr. Nancy Tarsi, Dr. Dawn McCrumb, and Dr. Rita Mitchell.
